On Thursday, Dec. 7 at approximately 8 p.m., Montgomery Township police responded to the intersection of Route 518 and Route 206.
Pollice found a 2020 Nissan Rogue stopped in the left turn lane of Route 518 with a line of cars behind it honking their horns.
Police observed the driver and lone occupant slumped over the steering wheel apparently asleep. After multiple attempts, the officers were able to wake up the driver who was identified as 31-year-old Jake Fenical of Franklin Park, police said.
Their subsequent investigation led to his arrest for driving while intoxicated.
He was taken back to Montgomery Police Headquarters for processing. Fenical was served summonses for DWI, careless driving, reckless driving, and delaying traffic.
He was later released into his family’s care pending a first appearance in Montgomery Township Municipal Court.
